Despite being a vital part of the veterinary team, CSRs rarely get the same training opportunities as technicians and veterinarians. That’s why we’re offering a free veterinary CSR lecture—a chance to build confidence, learn valuable skills, and connect with peers in the field.
Intraoral dental radiographs are a critical diagnostic tool in veterinary dentistry. This 1-hour free lecture will cover a practical way to evaluate dental radiographs for pathology. Interpretation of radiographic findings, including radiographic artifacts and commonly missed pathology will be discussed.
Periodontal disease is the most common type of oral disease seen by veterinarians and affects most animals by age 3. Without appropriate treatment, periodontal disease can contribute to organ damage, tooth loss, oronasal fistula formation, and pathologic mandibular fracture.
We will cover, the technician’s role in veterinary dentistry, oral anatomy and common pathology, proper technique for dental cleaning and dental radiograph on the canine and feline patient.
Fractured teeth are common in dogs and less common, although no less significant, in cats. This 1-hour free lecture will discuss how to recognize different types of tooth fracture. Treatment options for various tooth fracture types will also be discussed. Treatment of acute versus chronic tooth fractures will also be covered. Cases will be presented. Open to veterinarians and technicians.
